15 Wooden Coasters I Want to Ride Soon

Recently, I started thinking of some coasters I want to ride very soon. I have always loved wooden coasters. There are some wooden coasters that really stand out, though, as rides I really want to get on soon.

Now, I do want to get a few rules out of the way.

-I can only include up to 2 coasters from each park.

-I can only list a cloned ride once

-These rides must be realistic choices that I can see myself riding soon.

-I won't include rides that many people won't consider coasters (such as Shoot the Chute rides), even if I consider them coasters. If it isn't on RCDB, it won't count.

Finally, I do want to say that I am not including Lightning Rod at Dollywood because of the new iBox conversion, which will turn Lightning Rod into a hybrid.

This will be ranked so that rides I want to get on more will be closer to the top. I will include when I think I can get to the rides. Now, let's get to the list.

#15: Phoenix at Knoebels

This is often considered to be one of the best wooden coasters in the world. Many people, though, have recently been calling it overrated. This is just a few hours away, so I could probably get there by 2022. People often say that the drops on it have ejector airtime, so this has to be in the top 15. I love classic wooden coasters, and I think that I can really enjoy this ride.

#14: Skyliner at Lakemont Park

This ride looks like a classic wooden coaster, but I have heard some really good things about it. The ride uses PTC Trains with Buzz Bars. I have heard that the ride is one of the roughest coasters ever, but I have also heard that it has some of the most insane airtime ever. The drops look even better than the ones on Phoenix, and I think that I'll enjoy this ride more. I might be able to ride in in 2021, as it wouldn't be an expensive day trip.

#13: Flying Turns at Knoebels

This is a very unique coaster. Knoebels wanted to bring back a dead concept, and they did it, even with 5 years of delay before the ride opened. This ride is quite original, but it seems to have some maintenance problems, so I think I'd be lucky to get on it.

#12: Leap the Dips at Lakemont Park

This is the world's oldest roller coaster. This ride also is one of the last side friction coasters left in the world and is the last of the Figure 8 Side Friction Coaster in the world. It looks to have great pacing, it has no restraints, and I have even heard that it has some airtime. I might be able to ride this as soon as 2021.

#11: The Beast at Kings Island

This ride is the world's longest wooden coaster. This ride looks like a lot of fun, even if parts of the layout are often criticized. That helix looks better than the helix on Thunderbolt, even if it has lap bars instead of buzz bars. I feel like I'll really enjoy this. I might be able to get here in 2022 or 2023.

#10: The Legend at Holiday World

This looks like the better CCI at Holiday World. I have heard that it is quite smooth, now, and the layout looks amazing. I think that it could have some great airtime and laterals, and I look forward to riding it. I might be able to get here in 2022 or 2023.

#9: Mine Blower at Fun Spot Kissimmee

This ride looks insane. I have heard that it is rough, but the layout will probably make up for it. It looks to provide a good combination of airtime, hangtime, and laterals. It is short, but I think I will really enjoy it. I might be able to get here by 2025.

#8: Goliath at Six Flags Great America

This ride looks like it could be really good. I haven't ridden an RMC, but their layouts look like some of the best. Goliath appears to be the weakest RMC Topper Track Wooden Coaster, but I think that this ride will still be great. I might be able to get here in 2022 or 2023

#7: Gold Striker at California's Great America

This looks to provide some great laterals and airtime. I think that Gold Striker will probably be very enjoyable. I think that some of GCI's rides look incredible, and this is one that I think I'll love. I might be able to get here by 2025.

#6: Prowler at Worlds of Fun

This looks like one of the best GCI coasters. This looks a lot like Mystic Timbers, and while I think that Mystic Timbers will be better, I think that this ride will be incredible. I can probably get here in 2022 or 2023.

#5: Ghostrider at Knotts Berry Farm

Now, we are getting to potential Top 10 Rides. Ghostrider looks to have some of the most intense laterals ever. It also appears to have some strong airtime in some areas and it looks like one of the best coasters ever. I might be able to get here by 2025.

#4: Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City

This ride looks insane. It looks to provide good airtime and positives. It also looks like the double barrel roll ending will be an amazing finale. I think that this could be an amazing ride, and I can't wait to get out there. I could probably get here in 2022 or 2023.

#3: El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure

This ride is known to have some of the best airtime ever, but I think that it is probably overrated, so I'm not putting it any higher. I might be able to get to this around 2023.

#2: The Voyage at Holiday World

This ride looks amazing. It looks to have great airtime, laterals, and positives. I hope I can get to HoliWood kNights in 2022 because this may be one of the best coasters ever. I have heard some amazing things about the night rides on The Voyage. Trimless Night Rides will probably be one of my favorite experiences ever.

#1: Mystic Timbers at Kings Island

The layout on this ride looks incredible. This looks like it can have some strong ejector airtime throughout the ride. If you add in the laterals you'd experience and the theming on the ride, and I think that this could be my #1 coaster overall. I think that this will be my favorite wooden coaster, even if it isn't my overall #1.
