3 Pros and Cons of Amusement Parks in the Community

Many amusement parks are right near communities. In some ways, parks can benefit the communities, but there are also some bad things Amusement Parks can do to the communities. Today, I wanted to make an article about Pros and Cons of Amusement Parks in their communities.

Pro 1: Activities

When you are in the community with a major Amusement Parks, there are likely going to be many things to do, since they will benefit from people coming to the major area. This will likely lead to there being tons of fun activities.

Con 1: Potential High Land Cost

If you live in a major area, such as in a city or near an amusement park, you are likely going to have a high Home Value. This can be great, but it could mean more money spent on Property Taxes. When I was doing research about the history of West View Park, I remember reading that some people wanted the park to be replaced by a shopping center because of that reason.

Pro 2: Easy Access to the Amusement Park

If you live near an amusement park, you are naturally going to have easier access to it. Airtime Thrills mentioned in some videos how he would frequently go to Magic Mountain most weeks so that he could get some food and ride Twisted Colossus.

Con 2: When the Park is Closed...

If the park is closed, there is no way to go there, obviously. For Seasonal Amusement Parks, which include most US parks, you won't be able to visit. If you live near the park, you are likely going to see the rides. want to ride, but not be able to since the park is closed. I can easily say that passing by Kennywood in the winter can make me just want to ride Phantom, Steel Curtain, SwingShot, Wave Swinger, and Sky Rocket when passing them on the highway.

Pro 3: The Area Probably Looks Better

It is very possible that the area, overall, will look better near the park. The park wants the area to look good so that Guests are more likely to return and the governments will want the area to look good because returning guests will give more tax funding and more tax funding allows for more government employees and allow for better funding of public places.

Con 3: Noise

Many ENTHUSIASTS love the noise of Amusement Parks. People near them don't. We can't really blame the parks in some cases. like when people move to an area near a loud park. What i can relate to, though, is noise, since I can hear sounds from a freeway when I am trying to sleep. If it is anything like that, I can very easily understand why people are upset about noise.

I hope you enjoyed this article. If you did, please check out more of my articles, including the one coming out this Friday about if Amusement Parks tend to Help or Hurt the community.
