Aero 360 Review (Summer 2021) - Kennywood Flat Ride

Aero 360 is a Zamperla Hawk at Kennywood. In the Roller Coaster Community, this flat ride is not very often talked about. People only tend to talk about how the ride looks great, but I wanted to give my review of the ride.

First, I want to quickly show you the beauty of the ride. This is a photo I took right before Park Close one time and you can see Aero 360 behind Steel Curtain. Steel Curtain just adds to the fantastic view.

Aero 360 gets its name partially because of the Kennywood Arrow shape. This is the design of Kennywood's current logo. That logo is inspired by some Wooden Arrow signs that were put by roads that said "Kennywood" to give directions to the park.

Now, let's talk about the ride experience.

When you are boarding the ride, you can either sit on an inside or an outside seat. The outside seats are more thrilling and I prefer them for the better foot-chopper effect and the better view.

When you sit down, you have to wait until the Over the Shoulder Restraints automatically go down. If they don't go down, an operator will push them down. This is one of only 2 rides in the park where you are not allowed to pull down your own restraint, the other being Black Widow.

This ride has a somewhat uncomfortable Over the Shoulder Restraint. It is pretty bulky, but I actually prefer it over the one on Black Widow since it feels less restrictive and it is harder to get stapled, but Black Widow's restraints can fit riders that can't fit on Aero 360.

Now, I am ready to talk about the actual ride. This is an inverting flat ride. You swing back and forth and spin a full 360 degrees.

In the valleys, the ride is very forceful. When you are upside down, you get very fun hangtime.

During the ride, you get a good mix of hangtime and positives. It is very fun and you get several moments of hangtime. In my opinion, this is the #3 Flat Ride at Kennywood.
