Enterprise Ride Model Review (Early 2021)

In 2018, I got to ride an Enterprise for the first time. These rides are becoming rarer and rarer over time, due to reliability issues. Today, I wanted to give my review of this flat ride model.

Now, I should say that I have only ridden a Huss Enterprise: the now defunct Volcano at Kennywood. The version of the ride that I rode also formerly operated as Enterprise at Lake Compounce. I didn't ever ride the original version of Volcano at Kennywood that closed after 2016. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let's get into the review.

Part 1: Forces

These rides are very forceful. For an inverting flat ride, you'd expect hangtime. That is not what you get. Due to the high speed and circular shape, you get strong Positive G Force. There are also some decent lateral G Forces caused by the swinging of the cars.

For Forces, I am giving this a 9/10. In fact, the forces are why I used to like this more than Phantom's Revenge.

Part 2: Restraints

This ride model has some of the best restraints, in my opinion. Kennywood has a lot of rides with amazing restraints, and Volcano had some of my favorite restraints there. You are basically locked in a cage. You sit down and hold on to the sides. There is no seatbelt, no lap bar, no shoulder harness, or anything like that. That means that there is nothing to take away from the ride forces.

Restraints here get a 10/10.

Part 3: Re-rideability

These rides are not the most re-rideable. They have high G-Forces. Before I was an amusement ride enthusiast, I still didn't have any issues with the ride and rode it 3 times in a row one night. They have let me ride Volcano 2 or 3 times in a row without even leaving the car because of no lines. I will say, though, that you need to be used to high G-Forces and have to sit back while holding on if you want to ride one of these multiple times in a row. Otherwise, you will get neck pain.

In my opinion, this should get an 8/10, but I know that some people will rank it lower since some people have issues with high G-Forces or may always put their head forward.

Final Scores:

The final score is a 9/10. This is one of my favorite flat ride models. When I first rode Volcano at Kennywood in 2018, it was my favorite ride at Kennywood. This was before I became an Amusement Ride Enthusiast. Now, I still love the ride, but it wasn't my favorite flat ride at Kennywood when it closed in 2020.
