Gran Prix Review at Kennywood - Pre-Season 2021

Gran Prix is the Bumper Cars Ride at Kennywood. I've ridden it a few times, and I want to give my review of the ride.

Now, Bumper Cars are not something I put any research into. I don't really know anything about the "better" bumper cars. I will basically just be throwing out my thoughts on the ride.

First off, there are some things to keep in mind when going to ride this. In the heavy rain, the ride still tends to be open, but it is one of the longest lines in the park.

The ride doesn't seem to operate to its fullest potential, to be honest. There are probably about 5 cars that are just set off to the side that don't work. Also, like many bumper cars, there are no head-on collisions allowed.

Kennywood's Bumper Cars seem to have the average type of Bumper Car Restraint. They basically have a cloth shoulder strap, but that is the only restraint. They really don't need another restraint.

There is no assigned seating on this ride. Anyone can pick their car. They also get the choice of sharing the seat with a party member or riding alone. Always ride alone if you have the choice. Only ride it with others if it is someone like your kid.

So, what is my opinion on the Bumper Cars? These are good bumper cars. They're pretty fun, but they seem to be just your average bumper cars. I'm giving it a 6/10.
