In 2019, the Six Flags Corporation and the Qiddiya Group announced Six Flags Qiddiya, a new for 2023 amusement park in Saudi Arabia. They showed an announcement. Live action parts were recorded at Magic Mountain, but they also had all original renderings available. These renderings allow us to make predictions on what may be coming to the park when it opens. These renderings show an amazing looking amusement park, and that is what I'll be talking about in this prediction article.
Part 1: The Synodal
This area is meant to be an indoor central hub. This area is meant to connect the different lands of the park. I believe that this will include an indoor shopping mall and food court. This would include some indoor sitting area.
Part 2: City of Thrills
Six Flags shows 2 coasters in City of Thrills. These are Adrenaline Coaster and Falcon's Flight. Six Flags calls Adrenaline Coaster a "Family Suspended Coaster". Falcon's Flight will be the world's tallest, fastest, longest coaster. In the renderings, Adrenaline Coaster is shown with SLC Track, which makes me think that this ride will be a Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster. Falcon's Flight is an Intamin. Intamin and RMC are the only companies that would be insane enough to build something like Falcom's Flight, and it shows Intamin Double Spine Track.
Part 3: Steam Town
Next is Steam Town. Very little is known about it. It is said to be an imagination and steam-work theme. The only ride here is Iron Rattler Mine Train.
Iron Rattler Mine Train is the name of their Tilt Coaster. Looking at the track and design, I think this is going to be a Vekoma Tilt Coaster. Vekoma and Golden Horse are the only companies that have ever made tilt coasters, and Gravity Max, a Vekoma Tilt Coaster, is the closest thing we have to the design, due to the drop angle. Also, this track is similar to mdern S&S and Vekoma Track designs.
Part 4: Discovery Springs
They didn't give much detail about anything, but they said that there would be a water coaster that would go behind Water Falls and foliage. They didn't give any more information about the water coaster, but the description sounded like a River Rapids ride. Them describing it as a Water Coaster and the fact that their working with Intamin makes me think that this is an Intamin Water Coaster, maybe even a Giga Splash.
Part 5: Valley of Fortune
They brought up Spit Fire, which will be the "World's Tallest Inversion Coaster". The ride appears to reach its tallest inversion on the inverted top-hat. Also, they showed live action clips from Full Throttle at Magic Mountain, making me think that this may be a modern reimagining of the Mr. Freeze Clones.
Part 6: Twilight Gardens
Twilight Gardens seems to just be some family friendly area dedicated to good scenery. In this area, you can see what appears to be a Zamperla or Vekoma Kiddie Coaster, which is called Twilight Express. In the Live Action part, they show Speedy Gonzales: Hot Rod Racers at Six Flags Magic Mountain, which, as Airtime Thrills pointed out, makes no sense at Magic Mountain. This makes me think that it might be relocated to Six Flags Qiddiya.
Part 7: Grand Exposition
Grand Exposition is meant to be a classic amusement park, it seems. The description given sounds similar to Kennywood, with focus on food from different cultures, a record breaking pendulum ride, and a wooden coaster. Based on the "Opening Year" of 1896, I think I have found what their main coaster, colossus, is based on. I believe it is based on, or even a potential relocation of, Hullámvasút (Wave Railway) at Holnemvolt Park. Holnemvolt shut down after merging with a zoo and now Wave Railway has been SBNO since 2015. Considering the fact that Six Flags is known to relocate rides, I wouldn't be too surprised if they bought and relocated Wave Railway.
