Zamperla Sky Hawk Review (Early 2021)

One of the advantages of Kennywood is that they have a large Flat Ride collection. I've ridden most of their flat rides, with the exception of a couple of the kids ones, Black Widow, and Skycoaster. One of these flat rides is Aero 360, which is a Zamperla Sky Hawk. Today, I wanted to give my review of it.

For this, I am going to use my new for 2021 Flat Ride Review Type: Forces, Restraints, Re-Ride-Ability, and how much I would recommend the model.

Part 1: Forces

This ride is a pretty forceful model. It pulls some good positives and has some very fun hangtime. For a flat ride, it is pretty forceful.

The positives aren't very strong, but they are noticeable. The main force that you will notice is the hangtime. At some points, the ride just stalls upside down for a few seconds, and that sustained hangtime is very good.

For forces, this ride model gets an 8 out of 10.

Part 2: Restraints

While Zamperla makes some fun flat rides, they really suck at making comfortable restraints. This ride's restraints make sense, though. These use a hard over-the-shoulder restraint. This isn't very painful or anything, but you can get somewhat stapled. The restraints are not comfortable in any definition of the word, though.

These restraints get a 4 out of 10.

Part 3: Re-Ride-Ability

These rides are pretty Re-Ride-Able. I will say, though, that they are dizzying. I've never seen someone get sick on a ride, but I saw someone pass out on this ride. These rides are also sometimes known to get people sick.

This ride model isn't the most re-ride-able, and I would recommend waiting between rides, and marathoning these rides may be a bad idea. For re-ride-ability, I would give this a 5. It isn't very re-ride-able, but it isn't difficult or painful to re-ride, so it is right in the middle.

Part 4: Recommendation

I would highly recommend these models if you like hangtime or positive g-forces. Considering how much I love those feelings, I would completely recommend this. 10/10, would recommend.
